It is hard to convey the thanks, gratitude and apprecaition I owe to Francis Johnston and the Parkside Hospital Team. He identified my spinal stenosis as part of his investigation into my prolapsed disc, taking great care to reassure me of what was possible in the journey to recovery and beyond. I actually ended up having multiple surgeries with Francis, but all totally as a result of my over confidence in my return to normal fitness, a horse riding accident and a swimming pool incident. He still committed to fixing what I had broken with a knowing look. Since my last operation in 2015 I have been able to lead a full and enriched life enjoying so many special moments making memories with the family that would not have been possible without his expertise. He is a legend in our household, but a very humble, capable and extraordinary person who I am extremely grateful to have met. The Team at Parkside were always exceptional and supportive throughout the stay and in all follow ups. A huge heartfelt thank you to all, but especially Mr Francis Johnstone. Thank you . James Shanks
