Reviews
Twelve months on, have extremely good outcome from replacement left hip - - there's now little difference from how things were before the problems started with stiffness and restriction of movement, apart from sensible restrictions on types of sport and recreation.
Mr Hartwright also proactive in pointing out Xrays revealed some scoleosis.
Not sure if post-op care on the ward is one of Mr Hartwright's [or his team's] responsibility. If so, see my comments submitted to his colleague at 6-month check on dealing with the practicalities around post-op bladder control problems
Mr Hartwright has been looking after me for more than 5 years. During that time he has listened to my concerns, and helped me to make decisions on my treatment from pain management through to total knee replacement.
He has taken into account the need for me to continue with the physical job I still need to continue with. Also the leisure activity’s I take part in.
Mr David Hartwright replaced my Left Hip in May 2010, which has been very successful.
I am now having problems with my right hip. Not only is he an excellent surgeon but has a very easy approachable manner. He explains and answers any questions thoroughly. I feel very confident with him and cannot give any constructive suggestions for improvement. I would recommend him to anybody experiencing joint pain. He is a very caring and professional gentleman.
Personable, receptive and quality. My hip operation was without blemish including the after care. Mr Harrington stitching has left me with hardly any scaring. He is a consultant I highly recommend, if my other hip has trouble then there is only one person I will go to and that is David Hartwright.
