The care I’ve been given by Mr Hartwright and his team has been outstanding regarding my hip replacement. No question was to much trouble to be answered and I was never in the dark on what was going on throughout my treatment. Mr Hartwright has such a lovely manner that you are at ease straight away. I’m truly grateful to him and his tream for the life changing operation on my hip. THANKYOU

I had a hip replacement six weeks ago, and am now without pain, sleeping and walking well. I put this down to the care I have received, and the incredible skill of Mr Hartwright and his team. Everyone...cleaners, nursing staff, kitchen staff, physios, anesthetist, admin people and surgeon (as well as others I didn't know about, I'm sure) were calm, kind, efficient, professional and provided me with great care, both before and after the operation. Mr Hartwright I found to be warm, interested and patient as well as obviously highly skilled; he explained the procedure beforehand, listened to any concerns I might have, and answered questions. I felt in safe hands. After the operation, he dropped by to check on progress each day I was in hospital. He gave me his time, a rare gift. Overall, a very positive experience, not without its challenging moments of course (no one is eager to have surgery !), but made so much easier by the care and support I received. I would do it all again if I had to !

My surgeon explained every step of the procedure in a clear and concise way, including the likelihood of possible complications but in a reassuring manner. I expected and received technical excellence in view of his experience and academic record. After the procedure he visited me on several occasions while in hospital to check my progress and answer any questions. It is now 15 days since the procedure and I have seen him for removal of clips and we had a useful and encouraging meeting. I feel immensely fortunate to have had Mr. Hartwright as my surgeon. I have limited experience of surgery but cannot think of any way my experience could be improved.
