Excellent doctor, took time to listen, checked regularly when I was in the hospital, made sure all my questions were answered. Great operation, healing quickly and a productive follow up 3 weeks post surgery.

Mr Hartwright carried out my second hip replacement and, whilst my first hip replacement four years earlier by another surgeon went very well, my experience this time was exceptional and my recovery very rapid. I can therefore recommend Mr Hartwright wholeheartedly and would unhesitatingly request his services again should I (hopefully unlikely) need them in the future.

Both my hips are courtesy of the NHS and the wonderful teams that work with David Hartwright, both at Sarum Road in 2019 and the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in 2020. My arthritis was excruciating and disabling. Thanks to the care I received on both occasions I have spent the last few months joyfully rediscovering the world. I am so very grateful to David…..he is utterly professional and compassionate.

Mr. Hartwright is obviously a top rate surgeon who is also gifted with a lovely manner and empathy with his patients. I feel so fortunate that I was referred to him for what turned out to be a hip replacement. The treatment from him and his team at Sarum Road was excellent. It was also so reassuring to discover that after the 6week check there would be another at 6 months if needed and a final check up at 1 year. I sincerely hope that should I require similar surgery at any time that I am able to be treated by Mr. Hartwright. Thank you so much to him and his team.

I had a knee replacement 7 months ago and it’s changed my life.. Dr Hartwright was amazing, he listened, talked me through everything and put me at ease, I couldn’t have any visitors and had to go in alone, ( covid) but the help and support at Sarum road hospital was brilliant… I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone who needs a knee procedure.
