I had a hernia op. At home, Sunday evening, 3 days after the op I was concerned about something. I rang the hospital, spoke to a nurse who said someone would ring me back. Within 30 mins Mr Birchley rang me to reassure me everything was OK & it has been ever since.
Mr Birchley diagnosed my arterial problem very promptly.
The issue was dealt with in a kind, considerate, patient, professional way.
Many many thanks Mr Birchley
Exactly what I wanted from a surgeon. Clear, straightforward, respectful and professional. All appointments on time.
Very good experience. Initial consultation was informative and the treatment fully explained. On admission good information provided and post procedure reassurance given. Follow up meeting was good with clear explanation of recovery indicators.
I was very satisfied with the process and clear information provided.
I have suffered with varicose eczema for some years, treated with Betnovate as prescribed by my GP. I have some varicose veins and wear support socks but they don't trouble me much.
Worrying that the varicose eczema might get a lot worse and go up my legs, I consulted David Birchley and found him courteous, very knowledgable and helpful.
He carried out US scans on my legs, explaining all the issues very clearly.
We discussed the future and it was decided that we would leave things as they are as David did not feel things would worsen over time (I'm 78).
He was willing to do a 'foam/catheter' procedure at any time in the future if I need it.
Very pleased with the outcome and impressed by David Birchley.
