Mr Makki took over my NHS care when the previous consultant retired. He has performed two operations on my shoulder, one on the NHS and more recently, at my choice, the second privately. In both situations, I felt he listened fully to my concerns, he was able to make an immediate and accurate diagnosis- initially prior to any imaging. He explained my treatment options and made it clear that even if I decided to postpone surgery, he would not discharge me from his care until the issue was sorted. At no point did I feel pressured in one direction or another regarding my treatment choice and at every step, he took time to clearly explain procedures and possible outcomes. After both lots of surgery he took time to visit on the ward to inform me as to how the surgery had gone and in follow up appointments explained the images of the procedure. During recovery he has been reassuring and supportive and I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to his care. Thank you for bringing a journey of 8 years to a successful close.
