Dr Bailey took the time to ensure that I fully understood the medical procedure that I was going to be having under his care during the initial consultation. I received the same high level of care during pre-operation discussion on the day of my procedure, again it was clearly explained to me what was going to be completed and what the anticipated recovery period would be. Post operative care was also to the same high standard however this time he also explained that whilst completing the procedure that they also identified an issue with my shoulder that needed treatment as this was done at the same time. All follow up appointments were professional, with a high level of care displayed and at all times Dr Bailey took time to ensure that I fully understood what had been done whilst in his care, and what the recovery period would be.

He was very pleasant and professional, he explained fully what why the procedure was required. Mr Bailey talked through what he would be doing and what I could expect by the way of recovery time line and ensured I was aware of the pain level to expect in the first instance. My experience followed his narrative so there were no surprises. The operation has been a great success and within his six week guide time I am able to walk without sticks and with no pain which is such a relief to me. I cannot believe how neat the scar is.

I had an extremely painful shoulder. My GP gave me a steroid injection and referred me for Physio. After three steroid injections in a year I was still in pain. The Physio in Romsey Hospital referred me to Mr Bailey. I saw him at the Wessex Nuffield and can truthfully say he was extremely understanding, friendly and caring. He made the consultation feel like I was talking to an old friend rather than a consultant. He wanted an ultrasound as he suspected a tear in the tendon. Nuffield fitted me in within 10 minutes due to a cancellation, no one could have asked for faster service. On my follow up appointment Mr Bailey explained that I indeed had a tear, an osteo arthritic bulge on my collarbone and trouble with the rotator cuff. He explained clearly the procedure would require open surgery and booked me in whilst at the consultation. Following the operation he explained to my wife and myself that the tear was over 4cm and my shoulder had been “quite a mess.” He removed bone from the collarbone, rotator cuff and repaired the tendon. I am now 5 weeks after surgery, with a small perfectly stitched scar that both the nurses and Physio commented how brilliant Mr Bailey is at stitching and repairing his incisions. My family all say it is amazing as it is barely visible. As for my shoulder... I am now able to drive again, can reach the ceiling both front and sideways, move my arm behind my back to my shoulder blades. There is still pain but no more than a niggling toothache. Due to the extent of the damage I am told it could take up to 12 months to fully recover. If I didn’t get past this stage I would still be delighted. I am a 64 year old man who cannot praise enough the expertise of Mr Bailey and his team. If you are looking for the best go no further than Mr Christopher Bailey. I cannot praise his expertise and manner enough. Thank you Christopher Bailey you are the best.

Right from start to finish Chris Bailey & his team were fantastic. Everything was explained to me before any procedure. The operation was pain free & I felt very relaxed & confident throughout the whole procedure. The after care staff were also very attentive. Nothing was to much trouble whatever the time, day or night.Once I had been discharged the Physio team were also very attentive & I felt confident with the instructions that I had to take away with me until the next appointment. This is my second Knee replacement and I would thoroughly recommend Dr Chris Bailey & his team without any hesitation at all.
