Dr. Gnanachandran is an excellent doctor. He is very knowledgeable, explains everything well to the patient and is also genuinely concerned about the patient. I recently underwent surgery where a large fibroid and other small ones were removed via keyhole surgery. The surgery was done with great expertise by Dr. Gnana. Cannot thank Dr. Gnana , the Admin and Surgical teams enough for all help and support. Will definitely recommend Dr. Gnanachandran.

I cannot fault the care that I have received from Mr Gnanachandran. I have felt completely involved with the decision making for my surgery and he listened to all of my concerns. His follow up care was outstanding and I couldn't have asked for better communication, advice or care. I would highly recommend him.

I am ever so grateful and thankful that God in his wisdom directed me to Dr. Gnanachandran at Northampton General Hospital. He will be highly recommended by me. Dr Gnanachandran was very professional, kind, decisive and listened to my needs and advised me accordingly and removed a very large fibroid via key hole surgery. Mr Gnanachandran, Consultant Gynaecologist,
Graduated from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka (2002)
NHS training programme in 2004.
In 2005, he started obstetrics and gynaecology training, working in several hospitals throughout the West Midlands and Wales, completing training in multiple different aspects of gynaecology including ultrasound scan and laparoscopic surgery for patients with subfertility, endometriosis, fibroids and early gynaecology malignancies.
In 2016 he was appointed as a consultant at Northampton General Hospital to develop fertility services and gynaecology rapid access care service provision.
In his current post, he leads fertility, emergency gynaecology services and gynaecology rapid access care (suspected cancer 2ww pathway) dealing with patients suspected of having cancer.
His main interest is to help patients avoid unnecessary interventions and to allow them to access appropriate early surgery when needed.
