A top professional who does care deeply about his patient’s wellbeing including for the Along term. He is very gentle at the same time very honest, and wanted to solve my problems on a long run (despite I was initially wanting minimally invasive procedures (and I was proffered wrong)) I am delighted with the LigaSure surgery for my poor guts and still cannot believe my luck that I met such an honest top level surgeon who took an effort to convince me to do a right thing for me! I am very deeply grateful to Mr. Hornung, who (despite his achievements) is a very understated, humble, positive person. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

From my very recent experience of keyhole surgery for a sygmoid colectomy, Ben Hornung and his team carried out a very successful procedure which resulted in an extremely short stay in hospital following the operation. Ben was able to reassure me in advance of the surgery that I was in very safe, knowledgeable and competent hands and therefore I did not have any worrying or undue concerns. In all honesty, I cannot praise Ben enough.

I was referred to Ben for a colonoscopy. Having had a sigmoidoscopy during my 20's, I was not really looking forward to having to go through the procedure of a colonoscopy. Although Ben had reassured me during our initial visit, previous experiences caused me to be very apprehensive about the day. I can reassure anyone reading this that Ben is an absolute professional, as well as his team. I was looked after from start to finish and the procedure itself was not at all what I had built it up to be. I put this down to being under the care of Ben. During the procedure, Ben removed 2 polyps and banded an area where piles were observed. I will be going back in 3 years to see Ben again, just as a precaution and I must say that I am not at all concerned or worried about this. Thank you Ben and your team for looking after me so well.

I initially met Ben Hornung to discuss colostomy reversal surgery. I was very anxious. Ben listened to me, reassured me and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. On the day of the surgery he came to see me, reassure me again and explain the surgery to me again. After surgery he came to see me again that same evening and by the time I woke the next morning he was back at my bedside to see how I was. I am so happy I chose to have my surgery with Ben Hornung. The experience was better than I could hope for. I recommend Ben especially if you have alot of anxiety like I did. The actual surgery was a success and the scar was so neat and smaller than I could have hoped for. All in all it could not have gone any better.

Informative and thorough first consultation and advice from Me Hornung with an excellent administration colleague supporting the process. The subsequent In-patient experience was first class - a great theatre team, very reassuring in their approach. Mr Hornung explained in easy to understand terms exactly what the procedure would entail and what to expect, followed by a comprehensive post procedure review.
