After having a bad fall and damaging my left rotator cuff joint i met with Mr Desai who reccommended that i consult with him at St Hughs in Grimsby . He talked me through all my options which were very limited and said the best option was a reverse shoulder replacement however he felt i was too young to have this done . we tried injections that lasted 2 weeks so finaly went for the operation . touch wood all has gone well and would reccomend Mr Desai to anyone wanting shoulder surgery . A big thank you to him and the team at St Hughs .

Mr Desai is caring , skilled surgeon. His full explanation of risks and benefits of the surgery helped me enormously to make the decision for surgery. He was so thorough and confident in his approach I felt that it was personalised care and very reassured. I would recommend him to anyone especially if unsure about surgery.

I was experiencing daily pain in my shoulder for around 2 years before seeing Mr Desai. Mr Desai listened to me and through examination and x-ray quickly identified my problem. I had a successful shoulder decompression and capsular release via shoulder arthroscopy. The level of care I received from Mr Desai and the team at St Hugh's Hospital was outstanding from beginning to end. I have not taken painkillers for some time now and have an amazing range of movement in my shoulder.
