I am just over two weeks out from endoscopic transphenoidal pituitary surgery which was carried out by Mr Kolias at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. The recovery from the procedure is going incredibly well and the care of the team before, during and after was excellent. I was first in contact with Mr Kolias via telephone as my case had been transferred to him, so we had not had prior contact or rapport from the beginning of my diagnosis. That said, Mr Kolias was always understanding and clearly trying to get the best outcome for his patients given the challenging circumstances. On the day of the surgery I saw Mr Kolias before and after which was reassuring. The surgery itself went very well- no complications, leaks or eye problems and I am told the whole adenoma and cyst has been completely removed. For the duration of my stay at the hospital I had many check ups and visits from Mr Kolias and the wider team as well, to make sure I was recovering well and there were no issues following the surgery. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Kolias and the wider team that were involved with this procedure.
