I had an appointment with Doctor Alexander Hotouras at Whipps Cross University Hospital on May 28th 2024. I was recommend by the urologist team who work closely with him. On arrival at the Hospital on May 28th I was very nervous and apprehensive but after discussing my bowel issue with Doctor Alexander Hotouras I left Whipps Cross Hospital knowing that he understood my concerns and appreciated the pain that I was experiencing. My next appointment with Doctor Alexander Hotouras was on July 24th in between May 28th and July 24th I underwent a series of tests that Doctor Alexander Hotouras required me to do. On July 24th I again met with Doctor Alexander Hotouras. He explained in clear and precise detail what he had discovered that was causing me to be in excruciating pain. Doctor Alexander Hotouras then explained to me that I had 2 Options. 1) Major Surgery that required at least 1 weeks stay in Hospital following the operation. 2) Not having an operation and my issue would only get worse leaving me housebound. On September 5th I was admitted to Whipps Cross Hospital where I was operated on by Doctor Alexander Hotouras and his colleagues for 5 Hours & 30 Minutes. The 1st person to see me after the operation was Doctor Alexander Hotouras. He told me the operation was a success, his pleasure in explaining this to me was obvious to see. He cares very much about his patients and he visited me in the ward that I was in every day except on Sunday to see how I was progressing. I left Hospital on September 13th and to my surprise I received a call on my mobile at home this morning September 16th from Doctor Alexander Hotouras Doctor Alexander Hotouras is a kind and caring professional surgeon. He will always have a place in my heart. Lyn Fothergill
