I have been a patient of Miss Choudhury for around 4 years. I had a re-occurrence of breast cancer in 2018 and after receiving treatment the surgeon referred me on the NHS to Miss Choudhury as there was a nodule on my thyroid which she was concerned about. I saw Miss Choudhury and it was monitored on a 6 monthly basis but she did recommend after a needle biopsy that it was removed. I was reluctant to have surgery but agreed in 2022 to have it done at Gatwick Spire. Miss Choudhury arranged a CT scan and from that she identified a lesion on my lung. She immediately referred me to the respiratory team at East Surrey and I saw them shortly after and had surgery for lung cancer in January 2023 to remove the left upper lobe of my lung. I had no symptoms so was very fortunate that Miss Choudhury identified the problem. The thyroid operation was put on hold but after recovering from the lung surgery I saw Miss Choudhury in June and agreed to have the operation on my thyroid at Gatwick on the 25th October as I had a busy summer planned. I had the operation was in overnight and have made a good recovery. I am having a blood test to check on the thyroid on the 28th December and will see Miss Choudhury in the new year. Miss Choudhury is very professional and explains the treatment and action very well and I feel very safe in her hands. Needless to say I am extremely grateful that she spotted the problem on my lung and took the action she did.
