I have been seeing Dr Iqbal for around two years now. After finding out I had the BRCA1 gene mutation I decided to go ahead with a double mastectomy and reconstruction. Dr Iqbal talked through all the risks the procedure comes with before the surgery and saw me multiple times to ensure I wanted to go ahead. Although the medical results for the double mastectomy and reconstruction were effective, the implant that I agreed on resulted in a rippling effect on the upper breast which made me extremely unhappy. Dr Iqbal took the time to listen to my concerns and agreed a second surgery to change the shape and size of the implant and reduce the skin rippling. I am a week post op now and I couldn't be more happy with my results so far. As one of Mrs Iqbal's younger patients who still does not have children, my body image is something I still find important. Mrs Iqbal understood this and was so paitent with me. (I wasn't the easiest paitent at times!) Thank you for making me feel more myself again, it's been a rollercoaster two years!

Dr Iqbal is an incredible Dr who has listened and supported me throughout my journey. From the get go she has always answered my questions, before, during and after surgery her compassion has been amazing and I’m so truly grateful for her. Dr Iqbal made me feel safe and I would trust her with my life. I was going through a life changing experience, I was scared and anxious about my health and my future. Dr Iqbal put me at ease, at times when we need the most support she gave it to me and she was there and at no point did she stop supporting me. I myself work as a health care professional, and it was lovely to see someone so dedicated and show so much love and compassion to the people she looks after through their tough journeys during treatment. The care I received from the hospital was the best it could have been.All of the staff deserve credit for their understanding & proffesionalism.Dr.Javeria Iqbal was amazing & explained everything clearly both pre-op & post op with care & attention to detail.Going forward I’m aware of the further treatment explained by the doctor & feel so positive because of her.I really can’t thank her & her staff enough.
