My toddler had complained of upper abdominal pain for months and had self excluded certain food groups. I struggled with obtaining a diagnosis over several GP visits and eventually sought a private opinion. I was fortunate enough to be referred to Dr Hyer. He listened, was empathetic and not only took into account my toddlers history but my own history and eventually concluded on coeliac disease once bloods confirmed. I had felt dismissed by the system so was grateful to find a trusted ear. Toddlers quality of life has turned around as a result.
