Since Urmila Uparkar diagnosed my son with his cancer diagnosis we couldn't have been more supported and heard during such a difficult time. Having a supportive paediatric oncologist was incredible. Her attention to detail and the relevant literature she provided on everything from the condition, treatment drugs and side effects helped us navigate the difficult minefield that is childhood brain cancer. She laid out the whole process and gave us an expected timeframe including the caveats. She discussed our sons treatment and listened to our concerns and adapted treatment to suit both our son and us a s parents. She has always been forthcoming with knowledge and investigates a plan thoroughly. She has made post treatment easy to navigate as well, keeping us up to date and with a clear plan and regular meetings to discuss how everything is going. We can't thank her enough for the support during and now post treatment. She is incredible in her field and we are so grateful to have her on our team.
