At first, I found Dr Kandikattu a little patronising but realised that he sees people from different walks of life and I was in a vulnerable, snappy headspace, struggling to deal with what was happening to me so my feelings were heightened. He has been nothing but supportive, friendly and informative. During surgery, he likes to keep up spirits with humour being careful not to offend. His expertise is admirable and calm manner helps in the most stressful of times.
