Share review of Dr Subhash Kandikattu

My first consultation with Dr Kandikattu was on the 19th of June 2023 ( after a referral from my consultant ). This went reasonably well with the first procedure being done on the 15th of July 2023 followed by the second procedure on the 18th December 2023, another consultation on the 29th of April 2024 and the final procedure was done on the 8th of July 2024.Throughout this period the time that i spent in theatre having the relevant procedures done under / by Dr Kandikattu could not be faulted, his professionalism was flawless, even to the point of keeping me informed of each step being taken throughout each relevant procedure. Unfortunately for myself non of the above procedures had any lasting benefits, just short term pain relief. My only issues with regards to the above are as follows; 1) Indications on the information given to myself state that the follow-up procedures should take place at 6 to 8 week intervals, not spread over the prolonged period shown above. I was subsequently contacting the Fitzwilliam Hospital bookings department to find out why the relevant appointments had not been made and sent to me, only to be told that the appointments had to be made directly by Dr Kandikattu and that this was normally done on the same day that the initial procedure had taken place and that they had nothing on their system apart from "follow-up appointment to be confirmed / made approximately six weeks after the procedure had taken place" but he had NOT made the relevant follow-up appointments. When i did speak to Dr Kandikattu he stated that it was because i was an NHS patient and as such it was a prolonged wait and had nothing to do with him not making the appointments sooner ( which i find quite astounding ). 2) Prior to the second procedure we had to have a discussion with regards to what was actually required by my consultant on this occasion?. Even with regards to the above issues i would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Kandikattu.
