Dr Stan Baltsezak is a Consultant Sports Physician specialising in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Medicine. He trained in Sports and Exercise Medicine in Manchester teaching hospitals including Wrightington Orthopaedic Hospital, The Kellgren Centre of Rheumatology, Salford Royal, Stockport, and Withington Hospitals as well as English Institute of Sport and Manchester City FC. He has worked at the 2008 Beijing, 2012 London Olympic Games, and 2015 Baku European Games. He has been working as a Lead MSK Consultant at the NHS North East Essex MSK service since 2013. His previous elite sport experience includes working with Widnes Vikings RFL, GB Paralympics Archery, GB men’s water polo, Manchester City FC, Stevenage FC, Colchester United FC teams. Prior to SEM specialisation, he had completed Winchester General Practice training. He then worked in London, Basingstoke, Singapore, Jakarta, Nanjing, Beijing, and Bath gaining extensive experience in Emergency and Family medicine. Areas of interest: Investigation and management of neck and back conditions; shoulder and elbow pains; wrist and hand pains; groin and knee pains, ankle and foot pains. ACJ pain. Injection therapy in non operative management of frozen shoulder, subacromial shoulder pain, treatment of tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, treatment of trigger finger; tenosynovitis. Management of knee osteoarthritis, Achilles and patella tendinopathy; plantar fasciitis.
