Dr Mashru was lovely, he was kind and supportive. He explained everything very clearly. He explained the diagnosis, the treatment and the process very thoroughly. His manner was serious, but lighthearted which helped to put me at ease. I was worried I was going to feel put on the spot and interrogated, but the consultation was so much more relaxed than I was expecting, actually quite painless!

I've just completed my titration period for ADHD medication with Dr Mashru, and wrapped things up at our followup appointment. I'm so pleased to say that the medication and treatment has genuinely changed my life, it's been one of the best things I've done for myself in years. I went through the diagnosis and titration process privately via Psychiatry-UK. Although I opted for the private route, the cost was worth every penny. My initial consultation was arranged in a matter of days. Replies to any questions were very quickly answered, and the pharmacy were friendly and helpful. The next step will be to enter in to Shared Care with my GP, after which I can say I should be all sorted! Thanks once again Dr Mashru and Psychiatry-UK, your service has affected me positively in so many ways. For anyone else with doubts about taking this path, my experience has been nothing but perfect from start to finish. Thank you!

Listend to everything I had to say and gave me so much information and advice I really needed, it was a massive relief for myself when I found someone that completely understood me and could help.

Very understanding and positive and made me feel as though things were going to be getting better. Gave a clear diagnosis and explanation of what is going on with me, making me feel things are going in the right direction for once. After all these years of struggling to deal with issues and being on the wrong type of medication and not having a right diagnosis, I now feel positive moving forward.

Dr Dr Shyamal Mashru has been AMAZING at identifying my ADHD, evaluating its severity and picking the right medication — which has changed my life drastically in just two months. The correct dosage of the stimulants improved my focus, stabilised my mood, helped me maintain motivation and patience. University became not only manageable but, in fact, enjoyable. I became more coherent in my spoken language, less impulsive, much less fidgety. I'm now able to learn easier, study the things I've always loved without frustration, finish a whole movie in one sitting and organise my tasks efficiently. The only side effect the medication had on me was a slightly decreased appetite, but simple changes in my diet (and eating hours) eventually solved it. Taking control over my ADHD is turning me into the person I've always aspired to be. I couldn't be more thrilled to see where it takes me next.
