Dr Sanjay Kavia

I saw Dr Kavia for a fine needle aspiration (FNA) on a lump in my thyroid gland. What a great doctor! He explains what's going to happen clearly, answers any questions you may have and is very reassuring. Although the FNA might sound a little daunting I can honestly say that Dr Kavia was so skilled in the technique that I didn't feel anything other than a little pressure on my neck. It could have been a stressful procedure but it wasn't in the slightest - I felt completely relaxed, in extremely capable hands and totally cared for. Thank you Dr Kavia. Obviously, I hope I don't have to have another FNA done but if I did, I'd definitely want you to do it.

I was referred to Broomfield Hospital after a routine mammogram in Maldon. Sanjay Kavia the Consultant Radiologist acknowledged that I was anxious and was determined to put my mind at rest before I left Broomfield, no matter how long it took. The outcome for me was a happy one, but I would like to express how much care was taken by Sanjay Kavia and his nurse to put me at my ease and to explain each procedure clearly. There was never any feeling that I was taking up too much time. In fact, there is a notice on the waiting room wall to say that each patient is given the time they need and this was demonstrated in the very calm way they treated me. Thank you both so much.

Dr Kavia was part of the team who saw me at the Breast Unit at Broomfield Hospital today. His clinical expertise felt most reassuring and he was kind and friendly. He took the trouble to show me his ultrasound findings on the computer screen and to answer all my questions about the amount of radiation I receive from a mammogram. Dr Kavia certainly helped to make my visit to the hospital today a very good experience.

For me ,the experience could not have been more efficient or caring.

Dr Kavia was brilliant - friendly, reassuring and happy to answer all my questions. I was nervous about seeing a male doctor, but he went out of his way to put me at ease, explained everything that was happening and made my experience much less stressful. Dr Sanjay Kavia was fantastic, it was a very worrying time for myself and my partner and he explained everything to us, he made me feel totally at ease. I have just had my first appointment by Mr Sanjay Kavia and his team. They dealt with me in a very caring and respectful manner. Other than the news I received, I was most grateful to have been treated with such sensitivity.

I have known Dr Kavia for approximately 9 years now since my breast cancer diagnosis. He has always been extremely professional, very caring and always makes me feel like I am receiving excellent care. During my ultrasounds he is keen to reassure, talks me through everything and is happy to answer any questions I have. Dr Kavia has been looking after me for many years and I only have the most up-most respect and faith in him. Always professional, informative and caring, he always takes time to explain exactly what he is doing and why, his has the ability to put you totally at ease but also with the reassurance that you are being treated by one of the best.
