Dealing with "difficult" patients and worried families, Dr Kersh shows empathic and concerned care that made an enormous difference to us all. The unit that he runs should be an example to many others (viz some of the hospitals that my elderly mother was admitted to in Somerset!) and his leadership provides an excellent atmosphere and level of care in what are often very difficult circumstances. Despite being on a secure ward, our family member (Tom) remained calm and engaged throughout - which reflects the high standards that Dr Kersh's leadership has brought to Mallard. On a personal basis, he is a sympathetic and engaging man who I liked enormously.
