There was a confusion about my appointment. Initially I was booked for another for a Picc line but was not told not to take the anticoagulant drug the day before. The appointment was postponed. I was rung by a member of staff to be told that I could have the procedure done on the Friday at 1 pm. It was going to be done by Dr Leech and I could chose port or Picc line. When I arrived at the reception I was told that I am an hour late. Of course I was surprised and could not understand the situation. Dr Leech saw me and although he had full timetable he kindly agreed to do the procedure, inserting the port, as I wished. I was very pleased to get this particular part of the treatment completed on the day. I am very grateful for his kindness and attention.
