Dr Leech fitted me with a port ahead of my chemotherapy treatment. I was quite nervous on arrival for the procedure, and feeling quite emotional about my recent breast cancer diagnosis. When I called to book a date for the procedure Dr Leech’s office made me feel really comfortable and reassured, and did a good job of thoroughly explaining what would happen. At the hospital Dr Leech explained everything to me, and I felt reassured by his calm and caring manner. The port has been incredible useful during my chemotherapy. I had thought I would feel strange about having a piece of plastic in my chest, but I got used to it very quickly and am so grateful that I had it for blood tests and chemotherapy over the 6 months of treatment.
