I saw Doctor Bullmer after my doctor had no available appointments. He took time in reading all my notes, listening to me and took time diagnosing me. After months of previous visits to my regular GP, Dr Bullmer sorted out scan appointments and referrals to the consultants that I needed to see at The Royal Hospital.
This Dr. is a locum at my practise. I was reluctant to see him as I had no previous knowledge of him, but as my designated G.P. was not available, I agreed to see him. He immediately put me at ease, took time to listen to me and gave me a thorough examination. It was very clear that he had actually read my notes before seeing me, unlike some, and was offay with my history. He was extremely professional, courteous and kind. His diagnosis was spot on and was confirmed by a Consultant to whom he referred me. I cannot thank him enough.
Found him to be rude. I appreciate the surgeries are struggling but a patient only usually comes for an appointment when they are unwell. Please remember this when making them feel insignificant. Try listening instead of firing questions at them. Sometimes it's not easy to be eloquent and straight to the point when you are ill. Bear in mind that the way you,as a GP ,treat people can have a lasting effect and can cause people to doubt wether they should return for anymore help.
