I needed an Ultrasound guided Steroid injection in my thigh. I was pretty anxious, having listened to what was to come. Anyway, the day came, walked into the consultation room, was greeted by a very nice HCA and a very jovial Consultant. I asked many questions, and they were answered thoroughly. He explained what was happening at every stage. When it came to the actual injections, the only pain I felt was muscular, and it was over in seconds. I had 3 injections in total. It was all over in approx 10/20 minutes. No after effects, no pain or discomfort. A bit tender, which is to be expected. The experience was excellent, if you can use that terminology. I have no worries if I need to go back for another injection. Only with Mr Sultan! xxx
