   or

Dr Milind Arolker

I was appointed consultant in palliative medicine in April 2014. I trained in West Yorkshire and since September 2014, I work as medical lead for the Heartlands Hospital Palliative Care team. Since April 2018, Heartlands, along with Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals have merged with Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham under University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. You might also come across me during my on-call duties for UHB’s Solihull Macmillan community team, and HOBS (HOspices of Birmingham & Solihull: John Taylor Hospice inpatient and community teams, Birmingham St Mary’s inpatient and community teams, and Marie Curie Hospice West Midlands inpatient and community teams). Your treating hospital team or consultant will get us involved if your care becomes complex, if you need specialist advice on managing physical and psychological symptoms, or if you or your family/friends need forms of social and nursing care support at a stressful time in your or their lives. My team and I are focussed on helping you achieve whatever goals in life remain.
