Psychiatrists seem to use their computer a lot these days, so as they supposedly treat you, they are entering details, which make them seem distracted. However, they still don't seem to have time to recall details about you, when they bother to take such an extensive history in the first instance. This has been my experience of Dr Craig and another psychiatrist in recent years- new technology psychiatry. It seems like an academic process. Found him distracted and a bit cold in manner- made assumptions based on stereotypical ideas. Well educated obviously, but as with mental health problems, it may be my particular response to him and you may have better luck. Psychiatrists focus on the medication and seem to have little interest in day to day details of how one has to cope with particular difficulties in life and how side effects increase this difficulty and to me he was no different.
