We are delighted to be able to recommend Dr Ginks who has been truly exceptional in his treatment of our son, whose life has been transformed under his care. Although our son has had episodes of arrhythmia all of his life, which occurred entirely unpredictably, a formal diagnosis of supraventricular tachycardia proved elusive due to the difficulties of recording an episode on ECG. Indeed, appointments spanning over 10 years and endless trips to A&E had failed to bring us any closer to a diagnosis let alone an effective treatment. However, during our first appointment with Dr Ginks, he suggested a strategy for capturing the arrhythmia on ECG using a new App for the iPhone: within days we had obtained a trace on ECG from which Dr Ginks was able to confirm SVT and suggest an appropriate surgical intervention which has been fully successful. Dr Ginks was exceptional throughout this process, going well beyond our expectations: he was, for instance, willing to discuss the procedure to ensure that we were fully aware of the process and risks involved and was always both understanding and empathic. More importantly, his skill as a surgeon is genuinely inspiring. We cannot recommend him highly enough and will always remain grateful to him for bringing 10 years of frustrations to such a successful conclusion.
