Helpful website. I have asked for Dr Ray to become my GP. He always seems thorough in our precious 10-min slots, but Wall House patients need email-form alternatives to phone use. GP on whose list I was placed today took 6 days to respond to phone-msg request to add vitD to blood-test form. (£16 max cost, say NICE.) Same doc also refused to test vitD last summer, after overwintering on supplement. Dr Ray 2 years ago noticed I was vitD 'deficient' (25 instead of desired minimum: 80) despite summer outdoors way more than 20mins daily. Apparently 'deficient' due to impaired bowel (c. twice-weekly diarrhoea) via massive fibroid on outside of womb. Discovery started by Dr Elizabeth Mearns, a welcome addition at Wall House Surgery. As a 'GP educator', hopefully she will nurture a new batch of trainees + reduce drug-pushing toward Stroke/Heart Attack prevention.
