As a medical student, I have shadowed a number of consultants. Dr Lewis is one of the best I have seen in terms of being patient centered, always keeping the patients best interests and wishes at the centre of his care; listening and taking time to fully understand what is going on with patients and being knowledgeable in his field. Dr Lewis spent a lot of time both teaching us and talking to patients and relatives, showing true, genuine empathy for each one. I would whole heartedly recommend Dr Lewis to anyone!

nothing is a problem and he always listens to your point of view. I have worked along side this doctor for some years now and I always trust and value his comments and recommendations.

Dr Lewis showed great empathy to my father during his consultation which in turn we gained a great mutual respect for him and his holistic approach. I fully commend Dr Lewis's excellent manner and communication skills regarding the final diagnosis and future plans.

As a collegue I have found Dr Lewis to be supportive, helpful, communicative, encouraging and willing to learn from others. If ever I have a concern about a patient, he will always try to make himself available, and will do a joint visit if necessary. Unfortunately, some clinicians may make a juniour colleague feel uncomfortable for asking what might be deemed as an "irrelevant or stupid " question; Dr Lewis never makes anyone feel this way. He is very "nurturing" in his manner and encourages "open questions" where you feel you can develop and learn as a clinincian. Dr Lewis' demeanour and practice is able to facilitate an "open" and "safe" working environment. With respect to patients and their carers, I often hear them say how wonderful he is and that he is such a kind and caring man. On observing his practice, I feel he actively listens to the narrative of the patient and their carers; he is very gentle in his manner, and is patient, kind and friendly. Dr Lewis is very conscientious and will go that "extra mile" for patients/carers...and colleagues. He is able to enjoy good humour with patients, carers, hospital staff and colleagues alike.

Spends time with each patient and makes them feel special. Also a very good colleague who ensures that the team are aware and involved in patient care .
