Has a really lovely manner. Some of the doctors at the surgery makes you feel like you are wasting their time and you're not ill enough for them to care about, Dr mcgilligan is very different (or at least doesn't let it show if he does feel like that) he's never asked me how I want him to treat my illness unlike many of the others there.

Dr McGilligan is always very helpful and reassuring and always puts his patients first.
I feel privileged to have him as my GP.

I went in for a follow-up meeting this morning with Joe to discuss my current anxiety issues and a change in medication. As ever, Joe has great empathy, listened carefully, offered up research evidence, and we discussed best next step. Joe also scheduled another follow-up session in four weeks time in order to monitor progress. Always professional, and always positive in approach.

Dr. Mcgilligan has a very empathetic, understanding nature. He has been my GPfor approximately 17 years. His medical knowledge particularly of gastric/oesophageal ailments is encouraging. I would recommend him as he can listen/ question & dissect your answers very well.
