I was first referred to Dr Eapen around 1997 whilst working for one of the big 4 firms as a consultant. Diagnose T2 bi-polar disorder. I was initially admitted and the care ,treatment and CBT helped immensely. During the past 22 years I have continued to meet Dr Eapen around every 6 months. Her approach is very much based on self realising the impact of my condition, recognising warning signs, and of course acting as a reminder on medication and the impact of alcohol. So now I rarely drink, perhaps once a month, and then never more than 2/3 units, and I also stopped smoking completely 14 years ago ! I reflect that my father died at the age of 43 clearly with an untreated condition. So would very strongly recommend. On the upside she allows 30-40 minutes of free reflection before each meeting :0) reassuringly busy.
