I saw Dr Crabtree today and he is the first doctor in over 10 years who didn't immediately write me a prescription and physio referral in the first 5 minutes of the new appointment and send me on my way. Which is what my rheumatologist said would happen, I'll be informing her that this is not the case and to refer more people. I went for advice on coping strategies to decrease the need for pain relief and that's what I got. I have a few things to try and he made me feel like what I had already been doing was good and that I had a really good outlook on my issues and how i use the medication. He was very knowledgeable and even does the things he advices, which for me is unheard of. He pointed out where to gain useful information and even books that he has read. I wish that more doctor were like Dr Crabtree, patients would be happier and actually feel like they were getting the help for their long standing illnesses rather than fighting to get the help. So I will be recommending him to a number of people whom I know are in desperate need of a doctor like him. 5 star care all round.
