Such a caring doctor, a brilliant man, credit to the practice, his departure from the Ambrose Practice is a great loss for many patients and the city of Colchester, sadly the situation hasn’t improved since his departure. Getting to see a doctor can be a very long and difficult process if you can wait that long on the telephone, or you can queue up for a couple of hours and then wait to see the doctor at long last, but be prepared to wait several hours for a one problem ten minute consultation with him. Why has the covid pandemic caused so many things to change for the worst, these problems did not seem to exist before it or the doctors were more organised or caring, which is very hard to believe. After being cared for by this practice for some 46 years or more I just feel there is something very special missing. Please return to how things were, your sadly missed.

Dr Hall was a brilliant doctor and more like a family friend so, interested, and most of all a very caring person, he was loved by the majority of his patents due to his dedication and wonderful way. Proberly the best doctor in Colchester. When he retired from work it left a great hole in patient care and will be hard for the practice to replace him. I will always think of him as man doing an impossible job but he had such a wonderful way he would get there. May he have a wonderful retirement and enjoy the rest of his life, he should have been knighted as a mark of respect. He was our family doctor for many years I’m glad to say and dearly loved by the whole family.

I had a telephone consultation followed by an urgently arranged face to face appt following a seizure and was very impressed by Dr Hall's expertise and calm manner. This is a brilliant surgery - whilst there are maybe not always appts exactly when you want them, if you need care they will fit you in, in my experience.
