My patients and their families mean a lot to me. I aspire to provide them with the quality of medical care which I would want for my own family. I believe that patients want expertise relevant to their problem, delivered by a compassionate professional with local knowledge of services and how to access them. If I am able to provide palliative care service directly or through the empowerment of the patient, family or other health professionals then I have done my job. I am joining this website because the best way for me to achieve this aspiration is to recognise that the patient and his/her family are my teachers.
