Prior to surgery, Dr O'Rourke took time to listen and answer my questions in a pleasant and reassuring manner; while in theatre and throughout the procedure he made certain that I was comfortable and pain-free: his skill , plus the continuous support of the other staff members, ensured the care I received before, during and after my surgery was excellent. Massive thanks t Dr O'Rourke and his team.

Absolutely no empathy. Very confident about his work which actually leaves a lot to be desired. No understanding of what his patients are going through or what stresses they feel. A very disconnected doctor who I feel is not suitable for that role. Either that or has been in the job too long. All the staff around him you could never fault. I suppose someone has to clean up the emotional trauma he leaves behind him with his “ couldn’t care less” approach to some of his patients. A very unprofessional man indeed. Needs to greatly improve on bedside manner. It is after all 2020. Not 1920. Just move with the rest of the staff and he will set a great example
