Whist I was in ICU following a sub massive PE for 7dys in August 2014, Dr Creagh-Brown consulted me on the critical Thrombolysis dosage decision and subsequently saw me for three follow up consultations around the outcomes of echocardiograms and CT scans. Following the 1st he referred me to Dr Gallagher in Nephrology and also to Urology to ensure there were no adverse affects from the PE. Following the 2nd he referred me to Dr Moreno in St Thomas' with whom I will continue for longer term respiratory follow-up. All explanations in each consultation were reassuring and appropriately informative regards the reasons for referrals. I found the last consultation where we candidly discussed the pros and cons of Warfarin versus its newer alternatives most useful.
