Doctor Crown has been so far my worst experience within the NHS. Every appointment (which I often make wait months to have) she seems overworked (not her fault), disinterested and lacking in empathy. I find Dr Crown exceptionally patronizing. Whilst waiting months for an appointment, I try to prepare any questions, and make sure that they are both legitimate and intelligible. I find that she barely listens and is entirely dismissive of my concerns, she seems bored, does not ask any pertinent questions and quite often has actually lied directly in answer to my queries. I am an intelligent and articulate woman in my late 40s, and I have been reduced to tears in her surgery. I made the decision to take somebody else with me to my appointments to witness the behavior and lack of care and they were quite frankly appalled. I would highly recommend if you are offered "NHS choices" that you avoid Dr Crown at all costs. To further clarify I am not a hypochondriac, a health "googler", or a proponent of "leaky gut syndrome", "adrenal fatigue" nor any other pseudo-medical complaints which doctors often dismiss. I am however very unwell, I have lost 1/4 of my bodyweight, I shake, I have soaking night sweats, palpitations, blackouts and cognitive/memory issues, skin rashes, headaches, digestive issues, no menstruation for 6 months, A large and diffuse Goitre, swollen cervical lymph nodes, etc, etc ....and a desire to be taken seriously! With Dr. Crown your options take some Carbimazole or thyroxine or just go home be quiet and stop being silly. I would really love to find an endocrinologist with him I can reasonably and intelligently discuss any concerns or changes in symptoms etc.
