I became Dr. Eichholz patient at The Churchill Hospital for radiotherapy treatment in January/February 2019 following chemotherapy (also under his care) and surgery for breast cancer. Radiotherapy was far easier to deal with than all the foregoing BUT Dr. Eichholz retained the same professionalism, dedication to thoroughness, the same kindness and humour as he had done during the very difficult chemotherapy months. I could not have asked for better care and support during such a long, difficult, time and have no hesitation in recommending Dr Eichholz and all the team in the Radiotherapy Department at The Churchill . They are a great team and all lovely people.

I was refered to Dr. Eichholz in June 2018 for chemotherapy treatment at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. My treatment lasted from July to October, during which time I had a consultation with Dr. Eichholz every 4 weeks. I found him to be thorough, thoughtful and exacting in my care and treatment. No "niggle" was left uninvestigated, no question or piece of my "research" - no matter how unconventional - was left unanswered or undiscussed. This is a kind, humerous person and a highly skilled professional. He gave me time to think, to understand and to make informed decisions - for which my family and I will be forever grateful. My visits to Dr Eichholz were very positive and cheerful in spite of the subject of discussion. He was thorough and despite my tendancy for dismissiveness, he made sure I understood the whole process. After some initial issues, such as my referral letter for radiotherapy treatment "being lost in the system" resulting in a slight delay in treatment, (I was advised that a trainee oncologist had mistakenly put it at the bottom of the pile) I subsequently found Dr Eichholtz to be very thorough and professional. He has strong listening skills and despite a heavy workload, is willing to spend time explaining in layman's terms the various health issues, options and practical ways of moving forward with treatment. He is also proactive in his approach to clinical trials and open to discussion regarding new treatment methods. Alongside his professionalism, he has a friendly, positive manner - which is very reassuring when a patient is feeling vulnerable.
