One couldn't have asked to be allocated a more professional, sympathetic and approachable Consultant following Breast Cancer diagnosis. Following my lumpectomy I was referred by the caner care unit at High Wycombe Hospital to Dr Andrew Eichholz for further follow up treatment. From our first consultation and at all stages Dr Eichholz always took time to explain fully the course he recommended and the side effects that could happen. He was wanted to know the bigger picture of my life style and work commitments and appeared to take these into consideration. He has a charming manner and always treated me as an individual in a respectful way. When there was a possibility of an inheritance factor in my case he was pro-active in actioning a Genetic history check in order to find out any implications that needed to be addressed in my treatment and that of my children. I consider myself to have been extremely lucky to have been under the care of Dr Eichholz and will remain forever grateful for his knowledge and expertise.

Dr Eichholz was very good at explaining what treatment I would be having and explaining the results. He has a very calming manner and was able to answer any questions I had in a way I could understand.

Dr Eichholz took over my care in 2016 when my breast cancer returned for the fourth time. I first had breast cancer in 1984 and was lucky to have 3 bouts of remission before it returned. I appreciated the fact that he treated me as an individual, odd as I am, and I did not feel that I had not been listened to at any time. I also felt that he really cared about me and my treatment even though my diagnosis this was terminal. He was sympathetic to my needs for information but also had a sense of humour - which I appreciated.

Dr Eichholz has a warm & professional manner, he is very organised following up meetings promptly with letters & appointments. He explained everything clearly & answered my questions with patience, I had no doubt I would be receiving the best treatment for me.

Dr Eichholz was, to the best of my knowledge, very thorough in recording and passing on information. He was extremely patient, giving me plenty of time to consider my options regarding treatment, and taking time to answer my questions. This level of care led to longer waiting time for his patients as the day went on! But I and others who were/are his patients accepted the delays this caused. It was appreciated that he gave us the time that we needed. I hope the cancer will not return, but I would be pleased for him to be my Consultant Clinical Oncologist again, were that to happen.
