After some initial issues, such as my referral letter for radiotherapy treatment "being lost in the system" resulting in a slight delay in treatment, (I was advised that a trainee oncologist had mistakenly put it at the bottom of the pile) I subsequently found Dr Eichholtz to be very thorough and professional. He has strong listening skills and despite a heavy workload, is willing to spend time explaining in layman's terms the various health issues, options and practical ways of moving forward with treatment. He is also proactive in his approach to clinical trials and open to discussion regarding new treatment methods. Alongside his professionalism, he has a friendly, positive manner - which is very reassuring when a patient is feeling vulnerable.
