The fact that I clearly remember the consultation with Dr Turner-Parry - over two years ago, shows how I value it. I had a problem with urethral bleeding and thought the doctor might be embarrassed at dealing with an intimate male problem but instead was cool and professional. Later she referred me to the urology department which I didn't expect and on the face of it didn't seem particularly necessary but nonetheless also proved very helpful. Previously I had regarded doctors as people to be endured but after this episode I feel that they really are there to help.
