The doctor listened to my illnesses.
He even rang me back later with some more questions.
He was very professional and empathetic and reassuring.
He advised me to ring 999 if my symptoms deteriorated.

Dr Mayet is very friendly, professional and a good listener. Although, a physician with 'old school' qualities, he is up-to-date with the latest treatments and medications available. His mantra, I believe, is prevention, if possible, rather than treatment.
Dr Mayet always discusses the options available in managing my condition.

Dr Mayet is professional, always listen and gives the best advice. He has been my GP for 14 years and I have always found him friendly; a GP of the 'old school.'

I have been Dr Mayet’s patient for a number of years and I have found him easy to talk to and he has always acted quickly to find me the appropriate treatment.Recently I had a telephone appointment with him regarding stomach problems and within a fortnight I
had a colonoscopy at Brookfield Hospital this was due to Dr Mayet’s speedy referral.

We visited Dr Mayet after a recommendation, with our 15 year old son.
Our son has Asperger's and was suffering from very bad depression, he was also underweight from not eating properly, due to no appetite & self harming.
Previous doctors had referred him to waiting lists for group counselling because of his age. This involved many people & councilors asking him the same questions but no one really hearing what he was saying, or listening to us as parents.
Dr Mayet was incredible with our son. He really listened & understood how our son was actually feeling & how desperate he was to feel different.
Dr Mayet made him feel like someone was actually listening to him. He gave him some hope that he could help him feel better in time & agreed to take him on as patient.
Dr Mayet explained that our son had high depression & anxiety scores, he explained options of counselling, but he also offered to place our son on medication for depression with weekly meetings with him. Our son wanted to try this option as he felt helpless & desperate.
We cannot thank Dr Mayet enough for doing this for our son, I don't want to think what could have happened to our son if he had not done this for him.
We are now coming up on a year since our first appointment with Dr Mayet ,our son & his mental health are in a great place. He looks healthy and eats well, he smiles, laughs & copes better with school.
Our son will hopefully be in a place this summer where he will decide to come off medication. He is grateful that Dr Mayet took time to understand him and change the direction his mental health was going.
Dr Mayet really did save him ! a truly incredible man.
