Dr. Surman is an experienced and highly skilled Doctor. His bedside manner and relationship with his patients is first class. Listens, explains things clearly and is more than happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Most importantly I trust him and his judgement. I would say he's old school in his Doctor patient relationship, but by no means in his expertise, very much up to date with as much as is humanly possible for any GP to be, I equally would give the same recommendation to all the Doctors, Nurses and non medical staff in this practise. Lets all remember that if the Doctors are running late it could be there's been an emergency or another patient may have received some bad news and the Doctor is spending a little extra time with them. Its comforting to know that if and when your appointment comes you'll receive the same quality of care. I must also mention that myself and family have had exceptional care for both the practise nurses over the years and outstanding care from one of the receptionists, who went above and beyond her roll for me at a very difficult time in my life. I have been with this practise for 27 years now. Maybe if we approached our GP's and practise staff in a slightly less demanding manner and responded to them with the same courteousness they give us there would be better Doctor patient relationships, which in turn could lead to the Doctors job being made easier with a better outcome for us both.
