Having been referred to Mr Hatrick by my GP following shoulder/biceps pain and restricted movement, I was diagnosed as having calcific tendonitis. I was treated with steroid injections under ultrasound, which gave some initial relief. The problems continued and after a scan Mr Hatrick recommended arthroscopic sub-acromial decompression together with some shaving of the end of the clavicle. Mr Hatrick explained the procedure and the likelihood of any potential post operative problems that might arise, so I was able to make an informed decision about having the surgery. 14 weeks later most of my initial problems have been resolved but unfortunately I have a partial frozen shoulder, which is one of the possible issues following this surgery and continue my recovery with physiotherapy. I have no doubt that I would be in a worse position had I not had the surgery. The care I was given by Mr Hatrick and the team at Montifiore Hospital was always professional, informative and friendly.
