To set the scene, I am 85 years old with some arthritic problems, particularly in my hands. I approached Mr Hatrick about sudden loss of feeling in the smallest finger of my left hand and also in the two adjacent fingers. Mr Hatrick sent me for tests which confirmed that I had a trapped ulna nerve. He explained that a total recovery was unlikely for one of my age but recommended that I had an operation, to release the nerve, either privately or via the NHS. He expected that the operation would result in some improvement or, at worst, prevent further deterioration. At my request, he carried out the operation privately. It was successful. I have regained feeling totally in the two larger fingers and partially in the smallest one. I am extremely grateful to Mr Hatrick for his advice and professional expertise. I recommend him unreservedly.
