I went into Ward 13 at Airedale Hospital to have a catheter removed. I was not confident that the procedure to drain my bladder effectively had worked properly. Carol greeted me with warmth, reassurance and eased any concerns. The catheter was removed almost painlessly but the first bladder scan produced a disappointing result. In truth I did not care at all for the prospect of another operation nor doing a regular self catheterisation for the rest of my life. Carol’s confidence and experience eased my worries once more and her knowledge proved right as the next test meant my bladder was draining as expected. I can’t thank her or recommend her abilities highly enough. It was also great to discover that angels don’t have to have wings. Thank you again Carol.
