I saw Michelle immediately after having a diagnosis of prostate cancer confirmed. She checked my understanding of what I'd been told, provided me with a large amount of useful information about possible next steps and support groups, answered my questions and gave me a chance to voice any concerns. I felt very well looked after. My wife was also present and was included in the conversation.
Clear communication, concerned manner. Had access to copious amounts of information which she ably passed onto a lay patient, me. Clearly stated that this was a diagnosis that may change on review and offered to communicate the results of a local review. Has since my referral together with every other member of the urology team has provided me with care of an exemplary standard.
Michelle was brilliant, very friendly and informative, can't recommend highly enough!
I have valued having Michelle as my "urology nurse"/ Macmillan nurse. Over the course of three years you see so many doctors and nurses it great to have one reliable contact who you know will answer your questions and if necessary find out things for you and provide advice.
I have only seen Michelle face to face once but she replies promptly to my emails and phone calls so that I already feel we know each other quite well!
Michelle was very helpful, informative and sensitive in her role as cancer nurse specialist. We saw her immediately after our initial consultation with our urologist re results of tests.
