This is my second visit to the EMU ward. I was impressed with the clean bright tidy appearance of the ward.
On arrival I was welcomed by the staff using my name, and greeting me with smiles.
When I asked any member of staff about the treatment I was receiving they all seemed content to answer. It was the same again today. Bright smiling welcome. Lovely ward. Thank you to the staff and anyone working in the EMU ward.
My care was extremely good.
Home from home.
1) Clearer guidelines on referrals from primary care (GP surgery).
2) More systematic transmission of patient summary/records (it was not sent in my case.
3)Clarification of referral protocols (considerable confusion re EMU/3R etc)
4)Congratulations to staff for showing proactive initiative! (special mention for Shiela and doctor in charge (name not noted).
I was treated very well with kind staff from health care assistants to the doctors.
No improvement needed. All staff etc were excellent. No complaint whatsoever!!!
Everything!
This is my 2nd time and visit here to EMU is Whitney, when I have my kidney problems return, I always mention to my G.P 'send me to EMU' and they will put things right! You are all so welcoming and greet you with a smile when we arrive. You don't leave a stone unturned (as the saying goes) everything is looked into and repaired!
